Rinchen Dolker, aged 12, hails from the secluded Himalayan village of Skurbuchan nestled in the Sham Valley of Ladakh. Despite her tender age, she has faced profound loss, having tragically lost both her parents. Her father's struggles with alcoholism and her mother's enduring trauma from years of abuse have left a deep imprint on her upbringing.

As a result of her circumstances, Dolker has navigated through life as a foster child, finding temporary refuge with various relatives over the past three years. Despite the instability she has faced, she carries with her a resilient spirit.

Transitioning to Amrita-Seattle’s Home of the Snow Lions, a residential haven for at-risk girls, provided Dolker with a sense of stability and belonging. She stands as a first-generation student, harboring a keen curiosity for the world around her and a deep love for animals. In her moments of leisure, she finds joy in playing with her dolls and expressing her creativity through art.

Dolker's vibrant personality shines through her great sense of humor and her passion for artistic expression. Having been part of the Amrita-Seattle community for the past three years, she nurtures a dream close to her heart: to one day own an animal farm, a testament to her enduring hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
